The McLaren States of Endurance road trip spans 3,867 miles across 8 states, featuring 3 supercars—celebrating 30 years since Le Mans 1995, unveiling Project: Endurance, and teasing the McLaren W1.
A Celebration of Endurance, Innovation, and McLaren’s Racing DNA
Three decades ago, McLaren conquered the world’s toughest race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the legendary McLaren F1 GTR. Today, the brand honours that victory with an all-American epic: the ‘States of Endurance’ road trip, a coast-to-coast journey covering 3,867 miles across eight U.S. states.
Far more than a drive, this was a statement of culture, community, and the endurance mindset that defines McLaren.

Three Supercars, One Legacy
The convoy featured McLaren’s latest icons:
- McLaren 750S Coupe & Spider – the lightest, most powerful series-production McLaren ever.
- McLaren Artura Spider – the hybrid marvel, delivering performance with efficiency.
Piloted by McLaren pro and Trophy drivers Paul Rees, Jack Barlow, and Oliver Webb, the supercars carried liveries symbolizing Dawn, Day, and Night, mirroring the relentless rhythm of a 24-hour endurance race.
Every detail of this journey echoed McLaren’s DNA: lightweight engineering, uncompromising performance, and visceral driving emotion.

From Monterey to Miami: 3,867 Miles of Connection
The road trip began in Monterey, California, during Car Week, where McLaren unveiled Project: Endurance—a car built to mark McLaren’s return to top-class endurance racing in 2027.
From there, the cars journeyed through Newport Beach, Scottsdale, Dallas, Atlanta, Orlando, and finally Miami, with Pit Stop events at McLaren retailers nationwide.
At each stop, McLaren owners and fans joined the convoy, creating rolling celebrations of supercar culture that blurred the lines between motorsport, luxury, and lifestyle.

Project: Endurance and the Future of Racing
The road trip wasn’t just about celebrating the past—it previewed the future. Alongside the 750S Le Mans Edition, McLaren showcased Project: Endurance, a customer racing car that signals the brand’s return to the pinnacle of endurance racing in 2027.
This is the next chapter in McLaren’s motorsport story—a continuation of the legacy that began with the F1 GTR’s legendary Le Mans win.

TUMI Partnership: Engineering Lifestyle for the Journey
Endurance requires preparation, and McLaren partnered with TUMI to equip drivers with the Spring 2025 TUMI | McLaren collection, including the Velocity Backpack in Super Grey.
Just like the cars, the luggage embodied precision, personalization, and performance, designed for both trackside and everyday endurance.

Endurance Beyond Racing: Stories Along the Route
The road trip became more than a drive; it became a narrative of human resilience. Along the way, McLaren’s drivers met with ranchers, astronauts, record-holding athletes—and even Justin Bell, who drove the McLaren F1 GTR in 1995.
Each encounter explored what endurance means in different contexts—whether in space, sport, or life itself.
The Next Icon: McLaren W1
As McLaren looks ahead, the States of Endurance road trip sets the stage for the most anticipated reveal in years: the McLaren W1.
The successor to both the F1 and the P1™, the W1 represents the next level of hypercar evolution—currently undergoing its own global endurance validation programme.
If the F1 defined the 1990s and the P1 defined the 2010s, the W1 will set the tone for the next generation of luxury performance and engineering excellence.

Why It Matters
The ‘States of Endurance’ journey is more than a marketing campaign. It’s a reminder of what McLaren represents:
- Heritage: Celebrating Le Mans 1995, one of the greatest motorsport victories ever.
- Innovation: Showcasing the 750S, Artura Spider, and Project: Endurance.
- Community: Connecting fans and owners across America.
- Future: Teasing the arrival of the McLaren W1, a once-in-a-decade car.
As Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, McLaren’s CCO, put it:
“Endurance is not just about racing—it’s a mindset. The States of Endurance journey proves that McLaren’s DNA transcends the track, inspiring drivers and fans to embrace endurance as a way of life.”
